Underneath It All - Women's Retreat

Underneath It All - Women's Retreat

This is a small, intimate weekend for women who want to peel back the layers and come back to what’s real. There are only 10 spaces - not because it’s exclusive, but because this work needs room, care, and safety.

Small enough to be held.

Small enough to be honest.

This isn’t about fixing yourself or becoming someone new. It’s about stripping things back. Coming home to your body. Remembering who you are underneath the coping, the armour, and the noise of everyday life.

Across the weekend we work from a trauma-informed perspective, using therapeutic tools that support the nervous system rather than overwhelm it. There will be daily group therapy and integration spaces, held gently and at a human pace, alongside somatic movement, nervous system regulation, and embodied practices to help you land back inside yourself.

Sound is an integral part of the weekend, woven through the days and evenings. We’ll gather for sound baths around the campfire and under the stars (weather permitting), using instruments, bowls, voice, and silence to support regulation, rest, and integration - not as performance, but as a way to soften and listen.

Nutrition

Food is also a central part of the weekend. We’ll be nourished by a private chef, using local, seasonal ingredients sourced directly from nearby farms - including ethically raised meat and raw milk. Meals are simple, grounding, and deeply nourishing, rooted in ancestral ways of eating rather than modern trends. In the evenings, we’ll share bedtime herbal milks - mugwort, chamomile, and other plants traditionally used to settle the nervous system and support rest. This is about feeding the body in a way that feels real, steady, and human - eating, drinking, and living close to the land, the way our ancestors did. (Any dietary requirements will be catered to.)

We’ll also weave in journalling, art-making in nature, and creative expression - not to produce anything, but to let what’s inside you move and settle. Evenings are for fire, music, guitar, singing, storytelling, and being together in a way that feels simple and real.

We’ll live slowly for the weekend - whole food, fire, song, nature, rest. No digital distractions. No pressure to push past your edges. You’re always welcome to step back, opt out, or take space. We work with you exactly where you’re at.

Please note that cabins are shared - so let us know if you want to share with another participant, otherwise we will partner up, and you will make new friends for life.

The Land & The Setting

The weekend takes place at Plas Y Maes, a quiet rural retreat space held by land that does a lot of the work for us.

We’ll be surrounded by trees, open sky, and long stretches of stillness. There’s a gentle creek on the land - a place to sit, listen, and be in water if your body wants that. Nearby, an ancient oak woodland offers space for meditation, slowing down, and quiet presence among something much older than us.

Nature isn’t an activity here - it’s part of the container. You’re free to wander, rest, sit on the ground, or do nothing at all.
